good hotel. good value for the money. I recommend it.

the pool area is very nice

the hotel did not allow our boatman to access the pier of the hotel. We had to go around and access another location much further away, which was inconvenient

Beautiful setting and wonderful atmosphere

The restaurant should be better. The breakfast is good but evening buffet very poor taste. Don t understand because the hotel would be top with better food

The food needs certainly improvement ; one can not change money at/in the hotel ; it's quite a bit out of town and private transport quite expensive

1. Rooms could be more clean 2. Beach was not cleaned 3. It looked like either there was not enough staff to manage the property, or it was off season, or management is not interested to make this property even nicer than it is (outdated)

comfortable beds, best massage ever and good base to explore small islands but hotel is dated

the beds at grand luley are amazing! had really deep and comfortable sleeps in my time here - even better than 4 points at Sheraton Manado which I moved to after my stay here. i also highly, highly recommend the massage - one of the best i've had and i've had many massages across Asia! it also offered many different diving and snorkeling options. good base if you want to explore the small islands around the area.

the hotel is a little dated - aircon had some dripping. food is also served really slowly (but typical of manado). finally the place is out of the way so be sure to drive/ arrange private transport and there's not many food options nearby + the hotel doesnt allow for delivery so just be aware of that.

Lovely location looking towards Bunaken, Siladen and Manado Tua islands. Comfortable, clean room. Staff always friendly.

Pool area a bit run down since my last visit.

Premises....huge complex...large open space...beautiful scenery. Kind staffs, clean bedroom.. Nice environment, clean air,quiet, ideal for escape.

Services a bit slow...including check in process.. Dining room not so convenient, slow service, cleanliness etc.

A great hotel

Outstanding staff and great value for money. Huge pool and great sea views overlooking the Islands. Shuttle service free into Manado really useful. Rooms well equipped. Thanks to driver Albert for somehow getting us back to the hotel from a day trip to Manado through some of the worst floods we have experienced.

A la carte breakfast excellent but weekend buffet a little hit and miss. Weather was truely atrocious with massive floods during our stay but the hotel provided lots to do undercover including excellent massage centre.

Good hotel on the beach, with the inability to swim in it when you want - very strange

I liked the food, massage, beautiful well-kept area, friendly staff

It is not possible to use the sea on your own, you can only get to the sea for a lot of money by boat, at set times. I would like to be able to swim in the sea at my own discretion, at any time. The restaurant saw a strange crimson bird, the waiters said that they caught and painted a Sparrow so that other sparrows were afraid and did not fly in the restaurant - outrageous! Sparrow-sorry

Terrible food - 45 minutes from any restaurant or bar

The pool is great, staff were nice. Room was a bit old but that was ok.

The food at this hotel is terrible. The buffet breakfast is very very bad. The hotel itself is nice but there are no restaurants or bars near the hotel. The only choice you have at this hotel is to eat at the hotel and the food is really really bad. There is also only one restaurant open. The hotel says there is more than one restaurant/bar than one online which there is BUT they are not open and are not used. So at this hotel you have 1 restaurant to eat at and the food is bad. I am from Australia and I have lived in Indonesia for over 10 years, this hotel has a lot of potential but the food problem is a reason NOT to stay at this hotel. To the owner of the hotel you need to fix the food problem, open all the restaurants and the bars so people who stay here have a choice of what to eat. The hotel is 45 minutes from other restaurants and bars so you need to offer good food to the people who stay here.

Adequate, especially the staff and food, for a layover.

The staff were very helpful, professional and friendly. The food was very good-great selection.

Unfortunately the room was not as clean as it should’ve been. It requires a deep clean. Our pillows were dirty and smelt -as such we had to have them changed. The room needed refurbishment and I would not of been happy if I’d had to stay here for a week or more

Old, worn- down hotel, room quite shabby i.e. broken hook in bathroom, so called Cafe Barama was an abandoned building that maybe was once a cafe...ceiling leaking in dining room etc . Would never go back.

Friendly staff, good service.

Friendly staff, good service. When I called to book airport pick-up, the staff offered free transport given I stayed 4 nights. The resort has full facility including spa & diving center. As the only one diver of the day, I got premium service with speed boat to a nice beach for break. :)

The bathroom & tower seem old.

Good value for money and quiet location

I have stayed here before at this time of the year. It is a very peaceful hotel for the majority of the time. The dive centre was well run and we did a few nice dives on Bunaken and a few close to the hotel. The food is not amazing BUT is what I would expect from this sort of hotel.

It is quite remote and the restaurant was not exceptional so if you want anything different to eat its quite a way to Manado, but I knew this already so not really a problem.
